He lived on board. There are two junks belonging to the Capsing mun Station. One is anchored at Sam Shui po (near the Western boundary of British Kowloon), and the other is anchored at Capsing mun. Every fifteen days the junks exchange stations. On the 20th November the junk I was in went to Sam Shui po. It was on the 25th November that I went in the boat to Yeung Sha Wan - our duty was to search Chinese boats and if any opium was found to convey it to the junk. I did not get any percentage share on the value of the Opium seized. When near Yeung Sha Wan we met a Chinese boat under sail and on searching it found on board 15 balls of Patna Opium. After which we went to Ah Wong's garden at Yau Ma Tei, intending to take a meal and then return to the junk at Sam Shui-po. Ah Wong gave directions for this to be done. We got to Ah Wong's garden between 8 and 9 P.M., we had our meal, and then went to bed. The next morning between 7 and 8 a.m., I was the only one who was apprehended. Ah Wong and the three others made their escape. A man named Leung Ah Fook was apprehended at Ah Kow - but he came on a visit to Ah Kow at 7 o'clock that morning, and had nothing to do with the Customs boats. I had previous knowledge of him.
